Our networking events offer parents with small businesses, or parents thinking about starting their own small business, an opportunity to network with like-minded people – people who understand the difficulties that come with running a small business in the face of family commitments. Together, we help to inspire and motivate each other by sharing our stories, swapping ideas, and where possible opening new opportunities for business growth and collaboration.
During our event, you will have the opportunity to introduce yourself and talk to the group about your business venture in a very informal show and tell way. Please feel free to bring along product samples, leaflets and of course your business cards.
As part of all of our events, we have an inspirational or informative guest speaker chosen to add value to your business. This month our guest speaker is Chris Garland, the Founder and Managing Director of Chris Garland Training and Forest Skills Ltd.
Chris has a background in the construction industry where he worked as a project manager in Europe and the UK private & public sectors, gaining several prestigious awards along the way. While working in the construction industry Chris became a first aider and qualified as an industrial climber and tower rescue specialist. Later, he joined the Cheshire Search and Rescue Team and currently volunteers with the Cheshire First Responders working alongside the North-West Ambulance Service.
However, having read Roahl Dahls ‘Danny the Champion of the World’ at a young age, Chris always had interest in the natural environment, so in 2012 Chris founded Forest Skills Ltd where he and his team of instructors teach forest school, bushcraft & wilderness survival courses alongside a range of first aid, food safety & child safeguarding courses.
We are very excited to have Chris join us this month as he will be sharing a few really important CPR skills with our ParentPreneurs. He will also be able to take questions relating to food safety and your business.
We want to inspire all parents to go out there and achieve incredible things, so please book now to avoid disappointment.
