Date: Thursday 8 March 2018 9:30 – 11:30

Location: Bizzie Beans Coffee House & Deli, 40 Bridge Lane, Appleton, Warrington, WA4 3AX

Our networking events offer parents with small businesses, or parents thinking about starting their own small business, an opportunity to network with like-minded people – people who understand the difficulties that come with running a small business in the face of family commitments. Together, we help to inspire and motivate each other by sharing our stories, swapping ideas, and where possible opening new opportunities for business growth and collaboration.

During our event, you will have the opportunity to introduce yourself and talk to the group about your business venture in a very informal show and tell way. Please feel free to bring along product samples, leaflets and of course your business cards.

As part of all of our events, we have an inspirational or informative guest speaker chosen to add value to your business. This month our guest speaker is Helen Ray Boardman, a Strategic Marketing Specialist and owner of Amity Marketing.

Before opening her consultancy in 2016, Helen spent 17 years as an in-house marketing manager working across a range of industries including specialist IT recruitment, the homelessness charity Shelter and human rights barristers in Manchester. Helen now essentially offers an outsourced Marketing Manager service to businesses, including a number of local SMEs and startups, who need strategic advice to help them develop their marketing to achieve client acquisition and business development goals, and she often helps practically implement the marketing activities too.

Scope of the informal talk:

Helen’s motto is “Who do you want to make friends with?” and she will talk about the importance of knowing who your customers are in the first place and then ensuring the right people sit up and take notice and take the action you want to drive your business forward, whether that be website clicks, brand awareness or opening up new lines of business. Not afraid to label herself a marketing “geek” Helen will also touch on using keywords and enthuse about the importance of continually measuring performance statistics. Helen will also be happy to offer some practical technical tips on managing your digital marketing efforts as efficiently and consistently as possible and take questions relating to your ParentPreneur business for a bit of on the spot marketing inspiration.

We are very excited to have Helen join us this month and hope to see you there. We want to inspire all parents to go out there and achieve incredible things, so please book now to avoid disappointment.
